Hypostent is a cleanroom-ready laser platform designed to meet the challenges of modern MedTech manufacturing. From femtosecond-cut neuro stents to fiber-processed hypotubes — one system, endless applications.
Take control of complexity
Designed for demanding medical manufacturing
Hypostent is a high-precision laser platform engineered for the production of medical-grade tubing used in interventional and endovascular procedures. Supporting diameters from 0.3 mm to 13 mm and wall thicknesses from 25 µm to over 1 mm, Hypostent delivers exceptional flexibility — whether you’re producing delicate neuro stents or long hypotubes for catheter systems.
Dual-laser capability
Choose femtosecond for ultra-fine cutting of thin-walled metals and polymers, or fiber for fast, efficient machining of thicker metallic tubes — or combine both in one platform.
Wide tube range
Processes tubes with:
- Outer diameters from 0.3 mm to 13 mm
- Wall thicknesses from 25 µm to >1 mm
- Lengths up to 1.8 meters
All handled with a single rotary stage.
On-Center and Off-Center Cutting
Supports classical stent cutting on the tube axis, as well as off-center cutting with precise angle control — for features like interrupted spirals, defined flex zones, and 90° slots for part insertion.
Premium 4-Axis Architecture
High-speed rotary (up to 3000 rpm, wet-compatible) with linear X-Y-Z stages. Ensures ±5 µm part precision, even during high-speed cutting of complex patterns.
Dry or Wet Cutting
Supports wet cutting to reduce thermal load, eliminate the need for mandrels, and enable higher power application — especially useful for thick-walled or high-speed fiber processes.
Trajectory-Based Motion Control.
Powered by an advanced ACS controller, Hypostent maintains consistent cut quality regardless of speed. It detects and optimizes complex patterns in real-time — no need for double cutting on curves or slowdowns for precision work.
The Swiss Army knife for medical devices
Targeted applications for Hypostent
Where microfabrication meets medical innovation
Hypostent supports a wide range of medical applications, including neuro, coronary, and peripheral stents; long hypotubes for catheters, delivery systems, and energy devices; components for PFA and other ablation systems; and various endovascular implants and interventional tools. It is also suitable for polymer devices such as PLLA and other bioresorbable materials when using femtosecond lasers.

The Swiss Army knife for medical devices
Hypostent supports both high-mix, low-volume prototyping and high-volume production workflows. Whether you’re making short runs of complex components or mass-producing catheter parts, Hypostent delivers process consistency, minimized post-processing, and scalable integration into clean and non-cleanroom environments.

Ease of use meets engineering intelligence
Hypostent includes standard regripping functionality (≤10 µm) for tubes over 300 mm and can be equipped with an optional bar feeder for multi-tube automation, including in wet-cutting setups. It also offers a scanner module for turning (chamfering, roughing, finishing), multi-angle drilling, and deep engraving, along with dust protection, process parameter tracking, and precision 3C collets with custom bushings for both short and long parts.
